六本木ヒルズの隣に位置するお店。イラン料理のAladdinとampmの間にあるのですが2階なので見逃しやすいかも。(２００９年現在２-３軒隣に移動しました）レストランに卸しているだけあって、お店の品揃えは、かなり多くまた料理もアジアから中東、アフリカまで広くカバーしています。19種類のマサラ、18種類の豆、１KG単位から小袋で売られている各種スパイスなどが豊富です。お店で販売しているもののリストはこちらからどうぞ。
珍しかったのはAsafoetidaがあったこと。消化にいいスパイスのようですが、上野や池袋の食材店で探してもありませんでした。初めて匂いをかいだのですが、臭い。今までに経験したことのない、不快な匂いでした。しかし、豆料理などには使われるようですので、買ってきました。
お店は2年前からこちらにあるということです。あまりわからない食材についてもお店の方が親切に教えてくれました。

Hi! I found your site and was hoping that you guys could give me some advice. I’ve been asked by the producers of a TV show called Cafe Asia about finding an English-speaking chef to do a short cooking segment on the program. I think they are looking for home-style Japanese cooking, or izakaya fare, I’m not sure. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Hi Melinda, thank you for checking our site. We know a couple of Japanese chefs in the Tokyo but I am not sure if they speak English. So the question is how well do you want the chef to speak English?

Thanks so much for your quick reply! I think that the chefs don’t have to be fluent in English, just able to communicate moderately well. They will be filming in Tokyo sometime around August 18 – 22, but I don’t know the exact dates. I would defintely appreciate it if you could ask around. It would be a great help!1
