The scroll pan looks like just what Et-chan and Te-chan need around the Tokyofoodcast kitchen–too bad it is only a design idea. Still, Sam Hextall is onto something. I remember how bizarre I thought it was the first time I saw silicone muffin tins, but now there are all kinds of oven-proof items that aren’t made of solid metal. Being in Tokyo, we are even more afflicted with the lack of space that the designer had in mind when dreaming up this nifty way to roll up a crepe. Looking at it, I want the geodesic version for camping–just put in flexible tent poles around a circle of this stuff and make a griddle that will fold up for your pack but stand up over a camp stove. How many years til this comes true? [via boing boing]
