On my way home from work this evening I learned about soy sauce as I rode the train. I thought I knew about soy sauce, but I see have quite a bit more to learn. I had never heard of soy sauce on ice cream before, but according to this interview with Yuzaburo Mogi, CEO of Kikkoman, this is “a very good tasty thing”.
If you want to, you can read the nitty-gritty business and financial angles behind Kikkoman, but I found the interview more interesting. This is a man who has seen-and seems to have actually been a leader in-much of the early international spread of Japanese food culture.
